TBR 3 step rewind

Understanding the Three-Step Rewind (TBR)

If you have experienced a birth that felt traumatic or overwhelming, it is completely understandable that you may still be feeling the impact of those memories today. The Three-Step Rewind (TBR), developed by Alexandra Heath, is a gentle and effective technique specifically designed to help you process these experiences in a safe, controlled way.

Unlike some forms of therapy that require you to talk through every painful detail of what happened, the TBR technique allows us to work together without you needing to share the distressing parts of your story if you don’t wish to.

How it works

 Step One - We begin by establishing a foundation of relaxation and deep calm. This ensures your nervous system feels safe before we do any further work.

 Step Two- We guide you through the process of "rewinding" the memory. Think of this like watching a film on a screen; you remain the observer of the event rather than being pulled back into the experience itself. This helps your brain file the memory away as a past event, rather than something that feels like it is happening right now.

 Step Three- We focus on moving forward, helping you reclaim your sense of empowerment and looking toward the future with a sense of calm and relief.

The goal of this process is to remove the "emotional charge" from the memory. You will still remember what happened, but it should no longer cause the same physical distress, anxiety, or intrusive thoughts. Most clients find this process incredibly freeing and notice a significant difference in how they feel in their daily lives.
